The Department of Communication and Media at the University of Southern Indiana, a public university in Evansville, Indiana, seeks applications for a 9-month, tenure track position at the assistant professor level in Communication Studies. The appointment will begin Fall 2023.

Position Description:
The Assistant Professor will be expected to teach 12 credit hours per semester, which includes undergraduate and/or graduate departmental course offerings in two or more of the following areas: visual communication, performance studies, digital/interactive narrative, multimedia storytelling, rhetoric, and/or critical cultural studies, and to engage in scholarly activity; professional, community, and university service activities; and advising. The candidate will also be expected to teach introductory courses in public speaking and interpersonal communication.

Required Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in Communication Studies or a closely related field. ABD considered at the rank of Instructor if doctoral degree is not conferred by hire date.
