Job Description
Assist Collections Manager in daily operations of the art collection and providing security for the art collection and the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the hanging and deinstallation of exhibitions
- Assist in matting, framing, and preparing of art works and galleries for exhibitions
- Assist in the management and transportation of incoming and outgoing SHSMO loans
- Assist in cataloguing of artwork including acquisition and accession new works and writing the maintenance of condition reports
- Assist in maintaining, monitoring, and managing conservation and environmental standards of the art gallery, work room, and storage areas
- Provides security for the art gallery and premises by patrolling the property and securing all exits when closing the building
- Prevents losses and damage by informing violators of policy and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
$14.00 - $17.42 per Hour
Grade: GGS 6
University Title: MUSEUM PARAPROFESSIONAL I

Shift
20 hours per week
Hours are available Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm and occasional Saturdays 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.
Hours will be scheduled with the employee to meet the needs of the employee and SHSMO.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Art, Law Enforcement, or related field.
- Experience engaging with both individual and public audiences in a business setting.
- Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of the history of Missouri and the Midwest.
