Description:   

In support of the campus mission, strategic plans and values, Queens College seeks to fill a tenure-track Assistant Professor, Counselor Education vacancy in the Department of Educational and Community Programs, School of Education beginning Fall 2023. 

Responsibilities include (1) teaching graduate courses in the CACREP-accredited mental health and school counseling programs (with a preference for courses in two or more of the following areas: human development, multicultural counseling, psychopathology, assessment, and/or research methods); (2) maintain an active agenda of research and scholarly activity, and (3) advise graduate students and providing professional service consistent with the role of a university professor. 

The 60-credit master's degree program includes specializations leading to New York State certification in School Counseling and to licensure in Mental Health Counseling.
