Description:   

Reporting to the Director of the Asian American Research Institute (AAARI), the Associate Director of Student & Community Programs of the Asian American/Asian Research Institute will develop and oversee programs that serve Asian American students at CUNY, Queens College. The successful candidate will grow AAARI’s network by conducting outreach and programming that engages local communities of Asian and Asian American descent. Along with the CUNY Title Overview, responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: Collaborating with faculty, students, and community leaders in an effort to develop programs that serve the needs of Asian American students and local Asian American communities; Developing and foster relationships between the student, various community programs, Asian American Studies, East Asian Studies and/or other relevant academic and student programs at QC to enhance and encourage collaborations and information-sharing; Maintain close communication with students and program constituents, keeping them up to date and informed on changes and successes.
