Director of Residence Life & Student Conduct

 

Medaille University is accepting applications for a Director of Residence Life and Student Conduct. This position provides overall direction, leadership and strategic vision for the department and campus. Responsibilities include staff recruitment, training and supervision, programming and community development, and overall administration of the housing program and campus wide student conduct. The successful candidate will manage the student conduct process; collect and report data, serve as a hearing officer and work with the Vice President for Student Development to review and update the student handbook annually. Educate the campus community on the conduct system and processes and create a plan for educating students at orientation sessions in the summer and fall.

 

Candidates must have a Master's degree in higher education or related field. 3-5 years in increasingly responsible and professional roles in residence life and student conduct or a related student affairs/student development area. The position requires experience with professional staff supervision and program development, strong written and oral communications skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
