Description:   

Queens College in the City University of New York is searching for the Richard Lachmann Assistant Professor of Sociology. This is an endowed tenure-track named professorship in one of New York City’s most research-active, award-winning sociology departments. We are seeking candidates who, like Lachmann, can develop and implement innovative and relevant research and curricula at the intersection of comparative-historical research, the study of politics and/or the economy, and research methodology. A demonstrable ability to conduct research is valued, as is teaching, curricular development, departmental service, and/or disciplinary service. A strong candidate would also demonstrate an interest in and ability to administer academic programs and other departmental initiatives, as well as a capacity to collaborate as a productive presence in faculty leadership.
