Computer Engineering Tenure Track Position Announcement



The Department of Computer Engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level starting in the 2023-2024 academic year. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering or closely related discipline by the time of hire. The department is looking for candidates who can strengthen the computer engineering core competencies and have expertise in the areas of AI/ML Systems and Applications, High Performance Architectures, Digital and Embedded Systems, Edge and Fog Computing, emerging computing paradigms such as Neuromorphic or Quantum Computing, or other closely related research areas. Applicants are expected to have a strong publication record, ability to teach computer engineering core courses and communicate effectively, potential to establish and conduct sponsored research, and the ability to contribute to the college's continuing commitment to diversity, pluralism, and individual differences.






THE COLLEGE/ DEPARTMENT:
The department is known for its outstanding curricula, career-oriented education, collaborative research and state-of-the-art laboratories and computing facilities. Faculty members are actively engaged in research, innovative teaching, and partnerships with industry, and participate in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Ph.D. and cross-disciplinary Ph.D. programs in Computing and Information Sciences, Microsystems Engineering, and Imaging Science. Required Minimum Qualifications











· Applicants must have a PhD. degree in Computer Engineering or closely related discipline by the time of hire.


· Expertise in the areas of AI/ML Systems and Applications, High Performance Architectures, Digital and Embedded Systems, Edge and Fog Computing, emerging computing paradigms such as Neuromorphic or Quantum Computing, or other closely related research areas.


· Ability to teach Computer Engineering core courses and communicate effectively.


· Strong publication record and potential to establish and conduct sponsored research.
