Job Details

The Department of Theatre & Dance at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty member in performance and musical theatre at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning in Fall 2023. The primary responsibilities of this position are teaching introductory, advanced, and general education courses in performance and musical theatre and typically directing one production each semester. Service and creative activity/research are expected.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both performance and musical theatre who can teach a range of performance and musical theatre courses; direct plays, musicals, and theatre for young audiences; advise students; supervise senior performance showcases. This position will assist with the overall operation of the production season by coordinating front of house needs. A person in this position will have the opportunity for summer teaching or directing.
