Bowling Green State University (BGSU) is seeking applicants for a 12-month tenure track position at the Associate Professor/Professor level to serve as the Academic and Graduate Coordinator in the School of Nursing, starting July 2023.
Essential Duties, Tasks, Responsibilities:
- Develop and administer a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Program coordinating all aspects of program development at the University, State, and accreditation level. Create and design an innovative MSN curriculum using the AACN Essentials. Recruit and advise nursing graduate students. Serve as a liaison between the Graduate College, the College of Health and Human Services, and the School of Nursing. Assist the School of Nursing Director with accreditation, assessment, curricular development across nursing programs, program review, and other academic responsibilities. Teach courses within the undergraduate and graduate nursing curriculum. Establish a record of high-quality research and publication. Participate in community and professional service appropriate to a university faculty member.
Minimum Qualifications & Salary:
- A terminal degree in nursing or related field. If the terminal degree is not in nursing, applicants must have a master’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited program. A DNP degree must be accompanied by research productivity to qualify for this position. At least 5 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse and an active, valid, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the US or multistate license (including Ohio for teaching in the BSN program). Eligible for graduate faculty status at BGSU. Must have experience teaching in a graduate program, curriculum development, and accreditation (CCNE preferred). Evidence of research productivity commensurate with rank.
Preference will be given to candidates with any of the following:
- Experience in forensic nursing Five years higher education experience Holding a research doctorate
Competitive and commensurate with peer institution levels for rank and position and in keeping with candidate’s experience and credentials.
