PURPOSE:
Under the general supervision of the Logistical Services Manager and day to day work direction of the Logistical Services Lead, the Warehouse Worker performs work involving the receipt, checking, storage, inventory, issue, and delivery of materials, equipment, and supplies; uses powered or non-powered materials handling equipment and delivery trucks; and prepares and/or files forms associated with receipt and delivery of goods. The primary purpose of Shipping and Receiving is to provide a centralized warehouse to the Facilities Management department and campus community.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge: Working knowledge of methods, practices, and equipment used in receiving, storing, packing, and shipping materials and supplies. General knowledge of methods of taking inventories and maintaining inventory records.
Abilities: Ability to match names and numbers quickly and accurately; keep simple records and make simple reports; read and write at a level appropriate to the duties of the position; make simple mathematical calculations; operate powered materials handling equipment; apply safe methods of moving heavy supplies and equipment; perform manual labor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: one year of experience assisting in the receipt, storage, or issuance of materials from a centralized stockroom, or warehouse, including some experience in the operation of fork lift trucks or similar power-operated materials handling equipment. Prospective applicants who do not have the experience listed may be considered eligible based on other evidence of meeting the above minimum qualifications.
Possession a valid California driver's license appropriate for each vehicle operated which may include two axle single motor or one towed vehicle (e.g. a trailer with a grows weight of 6,000 pounds or less) as required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Familiarity with desktop computers and word processing software such as Microsoft Word, Excel. Google mail and calendaring programs. Experience in a maintenance environment. Working knowledge of computerized maintenance and building automation systems. Ability to prioritize assigned tasks; follow procedural oral and written directions; communicate effectively, both written and orally and establish and maintain cooperative working relationships within a diverse, multi‑cultural environment.

- This position will have a duty to report to the Campus Title IX Officer information pertaining to victims of sex discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, dating/domestic violence, and stalking as required by CSU Executive Order 1095.
- This position has been designated as a sensitive position with responsibility or access/possession of building master or sub-master keys for building access; and responsibility for operating commercial vehicles, machinery or equipment that could pose environmental hazards or cause injury, illness, or death.
- Must possess and maintain a valid license to drive in the State of California, pass the Defensive Training Class, and be insurable under the University's liability coverage.
- Due to the nature of the work, this position requires the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:
Maintenance environment with a high level of background noise. Position requires working indoors in university buildings, outdoors, and on campus grounds year-round, including during inclement weather. Includes working in the presence of loud noise, vibration, dark and/or confined spaces, moving mechanical parts, dust, automobile exhaust and paint fumes. Requires the use of a video display terminal and standard office equipment. Requires travel between campus offices and off-campus locations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Position requires full range of motion to perform strenuous manual labor, including but not limited to, lifting and moving moderate sized equipment up to 50 pounds (moving up to 100 pounds is required rarely) and moving up to three hundred (300) pound items (desks, refrigerators, lab equipment, etc.) with the use of moving equipment. This position also requires sitting, standing, bending, climbing, reaching, pushing, pulling, applying force, manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
