Job Description:

Develop Evaluation Systems

Initiate, develop and direct evaluation programs and processes. Use the CDC Evaluation Framework to engage stakeholders, determine the evaluation design, gather evidence to make evaluation judgements and recommendations, and share lessons learned and ensure their use/implementation. Work with CHEER/project leadership to identify evaluation priorities and relevant indicators and metrics. Develop data collection tools. Assist with the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and evaluate the causes behind deviations from and modifications to existing SOPs. Integrate best practices into the design, implementation and evaluation of organizational SOPs.

Implement Evaluation Systems

Oversee timely data collection, analysis, and reporting related to evaluation activities. Monitor data on a weekly basis for the Management Team and at least a monthly basis for the statewide partnership. Revise data collection systems as needed. Develop new ways to explore, report, and interpret quantitative and qualitative information. Use data to understand the effectiveness of program strategies and identify new practices and strategies needed in the future. Propose solutions for identified weaknesses or needs.

Train Partners on Evaluation Systems and Present Evaluation Results

Train partners in evaluation processes and data collection tools, as well as new strategies identified to address any deficiencies identified through evaluation. Contribute to planning, writing, and editing reports and presentations.

Attend Program Meetings / Travel to Meet with Program Sites

Work closely with program leadership and all program partners across Florida to develop the data collection process for evaluation through multiple primary sources (e.g., surveys, outreach event reporting, focus groups, and direct discussions with QI/evaluation staff). Many meetings will take place via Zoom, but in-person site visits across the state will be required to monitor outcomes and propose solutions to evaluation issues (travel will be reimbursed).

Other evaluation duties may be assigned as needed.

Expected Salary:

$39,700- $63,341 annually, commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in public health or other related health profession. Experience managing and/or coordinating evaluation, quality improvement or applied research projects.

High degree of proficiency in MS Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Experience working with primary and secondary data. Ability to draw conclusions from data.

Good communication skills, including effective spoken and written communication abilities.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
