Responsibilities:
The Division of Mathematics and Sciences at Delta State University invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor in Vertebrate Biology beginning in either January 2023 (Spring term), or August 2023 (Fall term). The successful candidate would be expected to teach courses in vertebrate zoology such as wildlife biology, mammalogy, and ornithology. Other duties include advising and mentoring undergraduate majors in the environmental science-wildlife management degree program and serving the professional, campus, and extended communities.

Qualifications:
Applicants with PhD with emphasis in vertebrate/wildlife biology strongly preferred. Must be eligible to work in the U.S. Prior teaching and research experience with undergraduates is desirable. A personal commitment to quality undergraduate teaching and advising is essential. ABD in relevant field of biology.

Must be eligible to work in the U.S.PhD in relevant field from an accredited university.

Salary:
9 monthCommensurate with experience, qualifications, and university’s resources.
