The Opportunity

The Rosen College of Hospitality Management (RCHM) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) seeks qualified faculty to join the Department of Tourism, Events and Attractions. Multiple 9-month, full-time, tenure-earning assistant professor, and tenured associate professor or professor positions are being filled. Rank and salary will be commensurate with the credentials, background, and experience of the candidates. All positions have an expected start date of August 8, 2023.

The selected candidates will develop and instruct various courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the field of entertainment management. All aspects of entertainment management are to be considered although expertise in one or more of the following are highly desirable: digital marketing and social media; entertainment technologies; electronic gaming; entrepreneurship and the entertainment industry; virtual forms of entertainment; the music industry and management of the performing arts. Incumbents will participate in university, college, and department committees; maintain liaisons with appropriate professional groups and industry partners; establish a strong research program and actively publish in appropriate journals.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Ph.D. in Hospitality/Tourism, Business, Event, or Entertainment Management or a related field from an accredited institution by the time of appointment.

To obtain tenure upon hire, the selected candidate must have a demonstrated record of teaching, research, and service commensurate with rank.

Preferred Qualifications:

A demonstrated record of research resulting in publications in highly rated journals. A record of teaching and service that is current and consistent with UCF standards and aspirations.


Expertise in one or more of the following are highly desirable:

  • Digital marketing and social media. Entertainment technologies. Electronic gaming. Entrepreneurship and the entertainment industry. Virtual forms of entertainment. The music industry and management of the performing arts.
