History. The Department of History at Saint Mary’s College invites applications for a tenure-track appointment for a teacher/scholar with a Ph.D. (ABD considered) in the history of Africa or Asia. At the time of appointment, applicants should have a completed Ph.D.

Teaching responsibilities include the World History survey and upper-level courses. We seek candidates who can contribute to or enhance our offerings in related programs, including – but not limited to – Gender & Women’s Studies, Global Studies, and Environmental Studies. Applicants with expertise in public history, digital history, or oral history are particularly encouraged to apply. The teaching load is 3:3, with two sections of the World History survey each semester.
