Responsibilities

Standard Job Description:
· Develops and designs curriculum and instructional material relevant to a course of instruction
· Advises students on academic and career direction within a specific field of study
· Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction, including assessment of student performance
· May supervise student employees involved in development or delivery of instruction
· Collaborates with department faculty and staff to develop teaching strategies relevant to the discipline
· Contributes to the development of teaching and learning scholarly work including publications and presentations
· Contributes to the strategic development of curriculum and academic content through various mediums to ensure the integrity of the educational mission of the work unit

Detailed Position Description:

The position requires the ability to prepare and teach classes using various course delivery methods, such as face-to-face, hybrid, and online. The position includes expectations of service to the department. Initial service expectations include student advising and participation in relevant college activities and events on behalf of the Information Systems department. Finally, the hire will be expected to maintain their AACSB status through either professional or scholarly engagement. Other duties may be assigned by the chair or dean.

Qualifications
Required:

Teaching is the primary mission of UW Oshkosh and full-time instructors must maintain the professional qualifications necessary for AACSB accreditation.

· Obtained a master-level degree (or higher) in a business-related field from an AACSB-accredited institution or one with commensurate credentials.
· Record of excellence in teaching or demonstrated potential
· Ability to work collaboratively with others
· A record of professional or scholarly engagement in the field of information systems
· A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and an interest in continuous improvement in matters of diversity and inclusion.

Preferred:

· Obtained a MS in Information Systems, IT, or MBA with a technical focus.
· Ability to teach programming courses, networking courses, or other courses within the core.
· Ability to engage with local industry partners and create learning opportunities for students.
