Job Summary/Basic Function
The Senior Instructional Technologist will work closely with faculty to train and assist them in the innovative uses of technology in pedagogy, course design, and assessment of learning for both in-person and hybrid/blended courses.
Responsibilities
• Collaborating and consulting with faculty on the development and implementation of innovative digital pedagogical initiatives that enhance inclusive and ADA compliant learning.
• Investigating, researching, experimenting with, demonstrating, and supporting new, emerging, and innovative technologies
• Learning management system administration, development, training, and consultation
• Supporting the appropriate integration of blended learning techniques and technologies into course design
• Developing and supporting training workshops for faculty
• Supporting the use of hybrid and distance learning initiatives
• Managing long-term projects with faculty as well as any collaborating offices, committees, or other groups
• Assisting faculty who need help in assessing and evaluating their own initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess at a minimum a Master’s degree with a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree preferred. Demonstrated experience working with higher education faculty in pedagogy, course design and/or technology is desired.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience working with higher education faculty in pedagogy, course design and/or technology is desired. Experience in HTML and Flash programming, visual design skills. Experience with LMS administration, configuration and training, as well as experience with the use of various web-based content creation tools (text, audio and video).
