Under general supervision develops and coordinates activities relative to admissions, enrollment, advising, and graduation. Essential Duties Summary
  • Works with enrollment services and the graduate school to oversee admissions for undergraduate and graduate programs.
  • Works with various departments in the university to identify courses that will be offered for students to enroll each semester and ensure a timely path to graduation.
  • Compiles program assessment and evaluation data at the college level and distributes information and materials to various constituencies.
  • Performs liaison activities with faculty who are engaged with COTS students.
  • Works with the Dean to ensure reporting for Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools is current.
  • Ensures academic policies are current in the university catalog.
  • Oversees advising practices to ensure they are effective.
  • Oversees registration for undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Compiles and prepares various reports, correspondence and requisitions to facilitate departmental operations.
  • Assists students and faculty in daily program needs and expectations.
  • Organizes/facilitates/coordinates departmental and other meetings for general and special functions as directed. Prepares and distributes documentation to inform all constituencies of meetings, special events, and research opportunities as directed.
  • Maintains files and information for students, faculty, and public inquiry. Responds to students, faculty, staff and other internal/ external constituencies.
  • Participates in outreach and recruitment efforts.
  • Maintains databases.
  • Run report from Argos and create report needed for the university.
  • This individual must possess the ability to work autonomously, when required, use high level organizational, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

1.0 Hiring Range $63,840.00 - $79,801.00 Education
Bachelor’s degree or higher. Master’s degree in a related field preferred. Required Licensing/Certification
None required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of:
  • Policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Other job-related, Banner systems, software and systems.
  • Requires some seasoning and experience beyond the entry level to conduct moderately complex work. Demonstrates general competence and growing knowledge and understanding of the overall function or discipline.
  • Advanced computer skills with MS Professional including: MS Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point and Google.

Skill in:
  • Problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Multitasking and time management.
  • Both verbal and written communication.

Ability to:
  • Prepare detailed reports.
  • Work independently.
  • Communicate effectively.
Work Experience
Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience. Working/Environmental Conditions

  • Using or carrying equipment.
  • Stoop, bend or lift.
