Assistant Professor, Movement Disorders Neurologist - Academic Clinician Track

The Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of DBS programming, botulinum toxin injections. Knowledge of electrophysiology and signal analysis is preferred, but not required. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. The successful candidate must be board certified or eligible in Neurology. Movement Disorders Fellowship preferred.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students, residents, and fellows in clinic and on bedside rounds for consult and inpatient services. Teaching will be predominantly in Movement Disorders including diagnosis, treatment with botulinum toxin and neurostimulator programming.

Clinical responsibilities may include attending in outpatient clinic of the Movement Disorders Center and the Philadelphia VA Parkinson Research Education and Clinical Center (PADRECC). There may be a small amount of attending for inpatient neurology services and supervising residents in their clinic.
