Tenure-Track Position
Starting in Fall 2023
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to teach education courses including: Introduction to Education; Educational Psychology; and Educational Field Experience. Candidates will also participate in curriculum development, review, and assessment.
- Oversees observation hours for Education courses.
- The position includes a teaching load of 15 contact hours per semester. Related responsibilities include maintaining five (5) office hours per week for student advisement and tutoring as well as participation in departmental, divisional and college-wide activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in Education
- NJ Teaching Certification
- Three (3) years of pre-K-12 teaching experience
- Three (3) years of college teaching experience
• Three (3) years of community college teaching experience
- Knowledge of current education pathways and state teaching certification
• Commitment to a culture of assessment and evidence-based teaching
• Evidence of effective instructional methods that address a variety of learning styles
• Evidence of incorporating digital technologies in both face-to-face and online/remote classrooms
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
