The University of Florida Levin College of Law seeks enthusiastic individuals to complement the College of Law's highly dynamic and ambitious community. This position provides timely financial analysis, monitoring, and reporting for the College of Law. The position generates weekly, monthly, and annual reports for the College of Law and provides strategic financial information to the College's Leadership Team for budgeting and other financial operations. The position also manages travel and expense reimbursements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable and oversees reconciliation and tracking of all expenditures. In the performance of these duties, the position consistently seeks to align all expenditures at the College of Law with our goal of remaining one of the very best law schools in the nation.

The position manages, processes, and reviews fiscal transactions for the College of Law, including travel and expense reimbursements, purchasing card transactions, purchase orders, and invoices. Prepares, reviews, and analyzes regular financial reports in order to ensure the College of Law is operating as efficiently as possible, with all spending furthering the College of Law's strategic goals. Ensures that the College of Law's financial condition is in accordance with all guidelines established by the University of Florida.

The FAII Produces required financial reports for Unrelated Business Income Tax, Sales Tax, Center and Institutes, the Bankruptcy Research Database, US News, and the American Bar Association. Obtains other financial data and information as requested and performs analyses in response to specific needs. Provides analytical, financial, accounting, and compliance support to college leadership.

Assists with reconciling and tracking expenditures using UF's Enterprise Reporting tools, the College of Law's zero-based spending request system, and invoice logs. Investigates and resolves any reconciliation issues. Works with the Office of Admissions and the Dean to properly fund student scholarships using state and private funds, including by maintaining private funding mapping and monitoring private and state funding balances. Assists with processing of summer public interest stipends for students.

Cross trains with the College of Law's Human Resource Generalist I and performs human resources functions as needed. Continuously evaluates existing financial and HR processes and provides feedback to financial team and college leadership in order identify operational issues and propose improvements. Participates in implementing continuous improvements.

The Levin College of Law is growing and changing daily. All College of Law community members are expected to perform other duties as assigned in furtherance of our strategic goals.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Excel (including advanced features, such as Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP's)

EDUCATION & TRAINING
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, or a related field

EXPERIENCE
  • Previous work at a law school or other university unit
