The Department of Physics at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art invites outstanding candidates to apply for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty position. We seek candidates from any area of cosmology, with a preference for computational researchers experienced in the use of computational methods and tools applied to the analysis of astronomical and astrophysical datasets. In addition to teaching required undergraduate courses in mechanics, electromagnetic phenomena, optics and modern physics, and physics laboratory, the successful candidate should be able to teach upper-division and graduate electives such as Cosmology and the Large-Scale Structure of the Universe.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

An earned doctorate in astronomy, physics, astrophysics, or in a closely related discipline is required with a preference for computational researchers experienced in the use of computational methods and tools applied to the analysis of astronomical and astrophysical datasets.
