Community College of Philadelphia is seeking to fill a Talent Acquisition Specialist II position. The Talent Acquisition Specialist (Faculty) performs a full range of talent acquisition activities related to full and part-time faculty positions at the College. This position serves as the primary HR contact for academic departments and hiring managers and provides coordination in the implementation of talent acquisition strategies and hiring processes for credit and non-credit faculty positions. The Talent Acquisition Specialist consults with department chairs and Deans on all aspects of talent acquisition from developing advertising plans, interviewing and selection, and salary calculations. The Talent Acquisition Specialist develops an understanding of the department's talent needs and utilizes strategies to generate a qualified and diverse applicant pool.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree required. Any and all degree(s) must be from a recognized institutional accreditor.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of full cycle HR recruiting experience, including sourcing active and passive job seekers, screening, interviewing, etc. is required.
  • Proficiency using MS Word and Excel required.
  • Experience using an enterprise-wide HR administrative system required.
  • Experience using an application tracking system is required.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively is required.
  • Strong customer service skills required.
  • Strong attention to detail required.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and making assessments for effective decision-making is required.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task in a rapidly changing environment with changing priorities required.
  • Ability to maintain sensitivity, understanding and respect for a diverse academic environment, inclusive of students, faculty, and staff of varying social, economic, cultural, ideological and ethnic backgrounds required.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous faculty recruitment experience is preferred.
  • Experience using Ellucian Banner preferred.
  • Previous experience using PeopleAdmin is preferred.
  • Experience in a collective bargaining environment is preferred.
