Job Description:

The Department of Secondary Education and Educational Technology at the State University of New York College at Oneonta invites applications for two tenure track positions as an Assistant Professor of Educational Technology beginning Fall 2023. Expectations include, but are not limited to, teaching, research, student advisement, college service, and continuing professional development.

The Department of Secondary Education and Educational Technology has nine undergraduate programs and offers a graduate program in Educational Technology. Duties include but are not limited to: teaching courses in the Educational Technology Specialist Master's program; teaching undergraduate courses in Educational Technology; teaching undergraduate education courses; early field supervision and clinical supervision of student teachers; maintaining an active publishing and research agenda; service to the college and community; and advisement of students.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:
  • Ph.D or Ed.D from an accredited institution in Educational Technology or related area (ABD considered; completion required by date of appointment).
  • Teaching certification in secondary content.
  • Minimum of three years teaching experience in grades 7-12.
Preferred:
  • Experience with teaching technology integration.
  • Experience with college level instruction.
  • Experience with online teaching.
  • Experience in teaching, mentoring, research, and service with diverse and/or multicultural populations.
