Job Description Summary

Wentworth Institute of Technology is seeking applicants interested in joining the Wentworth community as the Associate Director of Workforce Pathways + Student Support for Industry Corps.

As a position focused on increasing the diversity of our local workforce, the Associate Director of Workforce Pathways + Student Support for Industry Corps is responsible for the development and management of academic programs applicable to the local labor market and align with the Institute’s strategic plan. This position will develop and maintain a holistic student case management system focused on academic, social-emotional, and financial support. This position will maintain robust relationships with local public-school districts, industry partners connected to academic pathways, and community organizations. This position will be responsible for meeting recruitment goals for Industry Corps and academic pathways. Additionally, the Associate Director will be responsible for documentation and reporting of academic programs, related partnerships, and participants. Finally, in collaboration with the Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion leadership, the Associate Director shall communicate the mission and vision of Industry Corps, internally to Wentworth and externally to our surrounding communities.

The Associate Director of Workforce Pathways + Student Support for Industry Corps reports to the Director of Operations + Development, Industry Corps, a department in the Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

This is a full-time position.

Minimum Education Required

Preferred Education

Bachelor's degree

Minimum Work Experience Required

One to three (1-3) years of experience in workforce development, educational access and/or higher education

Preferred Work Experience

Three to five (3-5) years of experience in workforce development, educational access and/or higher education

Minimum Knowledge Required

Working knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations. Uses instructions and guidelines to perform the job safety function. Periodic training will be required.

Preferred Knowledge

Working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations.
