  • Randolph-Macon College is seeking applications for an Assistant Director of Employer Relations and Internships in The Edge Career Center. Reporting to the Executive Director of The Edge, this position will focus on employer relations/engagement and the outreach and cultivation of partnerships with corporate partners to help ensure a vibrant recruiting program for Randolph-Macon College students. The individual will develop, execute, and evaluate The Edge’s employer engagement and internship strategy. Connecting students, alumni, and employers for networking, career advancement, and employment purposes is key to this position.

    Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years’ full-time experience in higher education or corporate environment focused on recruiting and/or employment of individuals.

    An understanding of and commitment to the application of employer relations, college recruiting, and the professional development of today’s college students in a liberal arts environment is necessary. Master’s degree preferred and experience working in a college career center with students on career development and job search opportunities desirable. Seeking a polished and professional individual with well-developed interpersonal skills. Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Docs. Must possess exemplary oral and written communication and presentation skills as the ability to prepare and articulate high quality, effective presentations, clear and concise reports, policies, procedures, correspondences, and other written materials is essential. Must have the ability to work evenings and weekends as the job may require.
