Assistant Professor of English

The Department of English at the University of Southern Indiana, a public university in Evansville, Indiana, seeks applications for a 9-month tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in professional writing and rhetoric. Appointment will begin Fall 2023. The Assistant Professor will be expected to engage in scholarly activity, professional and university service activities, advising, and teach 12 credit hours per semester, which includes undergraduate and graduate departmental course offerings in composition, composition pedagogy, writing studies, cultural and digital rhetoric’s, professional and technical writing.

Required Qualifications:

Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in professional writing, rhetoric, and composition, or writing studies. Applicants in the process of finishing their degree will be considered if the degree will be conferred by hire date.
