Description of Position:
Candidates must have experience and teaching skills that includes the theory and application of electrical and power schematics, electrical concepts, components, systems, equipment, measure resistance, voltage, amperage, power in circuits alternating current (AC) including series, parallel, and combination resistive/inductive (RL), resistive/capacitive (RC), resistive/inductive/capacitive (RLC) circuit, scientific principles and components, such as coils, transformers, capacitors, motors. Courses also include the hands-on applications of direct current (DC) electricity, measurement and diagnosis of series, parallel, combination circuits, principles and practices of electric motor control including electro-mechanical and solid state digital devices, ladder logic, standard circuits, starters, transformers, relays, timers, the fundamentals of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), the science and technology involved in robotics systems including input and output devices, and programing controllers, and program coding. Residential and Commercial Wiring. PCB Layout using PADS and Altium. Test automation using a programming language like Python or LabVIEW, Alternative Energy Systems, Six Sigma and Design of Experiment with Statistical Analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Adjunct Faculty duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. providing instruction in accordance with established curriculum, course outlines and class schedules;
2. creating and maintaining an environment which emphasizes learning, encourages free discussion of ideas and critical thinking;
3. evaluating progress of students concerning educational matters and grades student work;
4. meeting with students outside of class;
5. maintaining appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics;
6. maintaining current knowledge in the subject matter areas;
7. fulfilling professional responsibilities of a part-time/temporary faculty member;
8. maintaining accurate academic records;
9. performing other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualification-Education/Experience:
Understanding of and sensitivity to the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, staff and faculty.

Master’s in any field of Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physical Sciences, and Physics
or
Bachelor Degree in any degree with two years professional experience in Electricity (Electrical power distribution), Electromechanical Technology (Industrial mechanical technology), Electronic Technology, Electronics, Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Industrial Technology, and Robotic, and Electrical Trade (as journey-level) or
Associate Degree in a related field with six years’ work experience in Electricity (Electrical power distribution), Electromechanical Technology (Industrial mechanical technology), Electronic Technology, Electronics, Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Industrial Technology, and Robotics, and Electrical Trade (as journey-level)

Desirable Qualifications:
Applicants should have excellent skills in communication and experience working with individuals or teams in a collaborative educational environment. Although teaching experience is preferred, applicants with no prior teaching experience but a strong aptitude or interest in teaching are encouraged to apply.
