www.uwindsor.ca/facultypositions Odette School of Business Three-Year Limited Term Lecturer Position in the Area of Strategy and Entrepreneurship Position # 002456LT36-2023-BUS The University of Windsor's Odette School of Business invites applications for a three-year position at the rank of Lecturer in the area of Strategy and Entrepreneurship, commencing July 1, 2023. This position is subject to final budgetary approval. The Odette School of Business takes a balanced approach to research and teaching. The School offers the following degrees: B.Comm. (Honours Business Administration) Co-operative Education, B.Comm. (Honours Business Administration), B.Comm. (Honours Business Administration and Computer Science) Co-operative Education, B.Comm. (Honours Business Administration and Economics), B.Comm. (Honours Business Administration and Computer Science), among others. It also offers multiple MBA programs, an integrated MBA/JD, and a Master of Management. There are approximately 1,200 undergraduate students, and 400 Masters-level students. The School has recently completed an expansion strategy with approximately 65 fulltime faculty positions currently. The Entrepreneurship Practice and Innovation Centre (EPICentre) at the University of Windsor is a campus-wide initiative created to encourage entrepreneurship on campus, and to support students and graduates interested in launching their own businesses. The school has been AACSB accredited since 2015 and has strong contacts with the business community and other academic institutions. Candidates for this limited-term position will hold a relevant Master’s or Ph.D./ D.B.A in Strategy and/or Entrepreneurship (or be A.B.D. and within one year of completion). Successful candidates will be qualified to teach Strategy and/or Entrepreneurship courses in the Odette school of Business undergraduate and graduate programs, including key offerings like Introduction to Business Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship and/or Strategy and/or Entrepreneurship. The successful applicant will have a demonstrated record of quality teaching and recent/ongoing research (or appropriate recent and ongoing significant industry experience) in Strategy and/or Entrepreneurship. The ability to build interest and enthusiasm among students to pursue education and careers in Strategy and/or Entrepreneurship is essential. Experience in online teaching (for example, using the Brightspace education management system) and interest in course development in the areas of Strategy and/or Entrepreneurship are beneficial. It is also expected that the successful applicant will undertake service activities relevant to the position.
