Founded in 1959, Rockland Community College is a unit of the 64-campus State University of New York (SUNY) system, nestled in New York’s picturesque Hudson Valley less than an hour north of New York City. In the last five years, RCC has embarked on a transformative reimagining of its academic programs and instruction delivery to better equip students to continue their educational journey with the implementation of Guided Pathways and the development of the College’s Economic Mobility and Workforce Innovation division (EMWI). With academic programs spanning the arts, business, health professions, liberal arts, and technologies, RCC enrolls nearly 6,000 full-time and part-time students per year, for more information on RCC enrollment you can visit their website.  Almost 800 high school students also enroll in credit courses. The College employs over 500 faculty and 400 staff and has an annual operating budget of approximately $72 million..

As the leader of one of the top community colleges in the country, the president of RCC will be a passionate external advocate for community colleges and will possess a deep understanding of the vital role community colleges will play in the future of higher education. The next president will inherit an institution poised for continued growth in its academic and workforce development delivery. Compensation for this position will be competitive and negotiated in good faith, with the range beginning at $220,000.
