The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics at the Faculty of Medicine of the American University of Beirut (AUB) invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the professorial ranks level.

Requirements:

• Applicants must hold a PhD with post-doctorate training in basic biochemistry, including metabolic disorders.
• Candidates must have a minimum of 3-year teaching experience at an academic institution.
• The successful candidate is expected to participate in the teaching of medical, graduates (MS and PhD), and allied health sciences and students.
• The candidate must provide evidence of research interests in the field of metabolism, translational medicine, and in training of graduate students.

In addition to above requirements, applicants with the following areas of specialization, enzymology and mitochondrial research, will also be considered.
