Job Description

The Office of Admissions is hiring a CRM Operations Slate Analyst. This position reports to the Associate Director of CRM Operations and supports the development, implementation and maintenance of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool, Slate. Slate Analyst will provide leadership and support to functional users in day-to-day management of CRM functionality in support of admissions initiatives including event management, query and report development, communication support, and oversight of admission application development. The Slate Analyst will work with the university DSAS team for data uploads into the CRM and data integrations with the Student Information System and other campus systems. While this position will support CRM operations for all programs, a special focus may be placed on graduate student operations.

The Slate Analyst is responsible for working with admissions leadership to identify processes that require improvement and suggests innovative enhancements and solutions that support admissions goals and initiatives. The person in this position will work closely with campus partners, academic departments, and external constituents to meet the short- and long-term goals of the institution by utilizing Slate for managing prospective students through matriculation.

The management of Slate may include the following tasks:

Slate Application Management
  • Develop and update fields, prompts, interactions;
  • Develop and update application processes, materials, and checklists;
  • Develop and update application review processes, reader forms, and online admission procedures;
  • Develop and update reports and queries to provide programs with access to their data;
  • Manage external and internal portals and make updates to content;
  • Maintains quality assurance and control, including merging duplicate records, adding new prompts/fields/activities/interactions, managing annual cycle preparation, etc.
Communication & Marketing Management
  • Develop, update, and facilitate communications related to applications;
  • Develop, update, and send communications to prospective students;
  • Work with Marketing and Communications to facilitate digital marketing ad tracking in Slate through use of UTMs and interactions;
  • Develop and analyze reports related to communication plans and marketing;
  • Basic HTML skills desired.
Event & Interview Scheduling
  • Assist units and admissions with event creation, management, and communications;
  • Build event landing pages or embedded forms;
  • Maintain counselor portal with Slate.org;
Technical Integrations
  • Liaise with the Business office to manage TouchNet payments and refunds, as needed;
  • Work with DSAS, and other technical staff to integrate data into student information systems and act as the liaison between the end-user and technical support group;
  • Manage manual load processes to student information systems when necessary;
  • Submit tickets on behalf of end users, and request focus calls from, Slate.
User Management
  • Manage user access and add new population groups as needed;
  • Develop and update user roles and custom permissions for staff and faculty;
  • Assist with access/deactivation of users within the CRM.
Training
  • Update training plans, training documentation and conduct training sessions related to using Slate for processes;
  • Manage client relationships to ensure client needs and expectations are being met;
  • Create and maintain business reference guides on system operations and database maintenance functions.
Other Requirements :
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot system errors;
  • Ability to develop strong business relationships and build consensus;
  • Demonstrated work ethic and ability to produce deliverables independently;
  • Strong team player with ability to collaborate;
  • Excellent writing, communication, and time management skills.
Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Education Administration, Student Personnel Administration, Student Affairs, or related area, or an equivalent combination of education and training from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired.
  • Three to four years of experience directly related to the position.
  • Experience with Slate and/or other CRMs.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft.

Salary

$48,900 - $61,000
