Clinical Coordinator for Infant, Child, and Adolescent Nursing

The University of Maryland School of Nursing (UMSON) is currently recruiting for a faculty member to join the Department of Family and Community Health as the clinical coordinator for infant, child, and adolescent nursing.

UMSON enrolls more than 2,000 students in its baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral programs. It is ranked among the top ten schools of nursing by U.S. News & World Report. UMSON is part of the University of Maryland, graduate professional campus that also includes the schools of medicine, dentistry, law, pharmacy, and social work. UMB does not require proof of COVID-19 vaccination. However, faculty and staff whose job duties require them to work in clinical settings or at clinical or field sites continue to be subject to the vaccine requirements of those sites. In these cases, proof of vaccination and requests for accommodations will continue to be administered through the University.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Department Chair, Vice Chair and Course Director to recruit adjunct faculty
  • Collaborate with clinical placement personnel in the Office of Student and Academic Services (OSAS) to recruit clinical sites
  • Coordinate with OSAS personnel to ensure faculty and students are compliant with all agency requirements
  • Orient clinical faculty to the role and expectations as needed
  • Make site visits to clinical agencies
  • Assure evaluation of students, sites, and clinical faculty
  • Collaborate with Simulation Lab personnel on course and clinical related learning activities
Qualifications :

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in nursing required
  • DNP Preferred
  • Experience in infant, child, and adolescent nursing required
  • Prior academic experience recommended
  • Active nursing license or eligibility to practice nursing in Maryland required
