We are searching for an experienced Part-Time Faculty, School of Information Sciences at our Detroit campus location.

Essential Functions (Job Duties):
Part-time project position announcement
The School of Information Sciences seeks a Python programmer for a short-term assignment. Tasks involve contributing to a new Plan of Work (POW) system for monitoring the progress of graduate students and involves finalizing, testing, debugging, and overall preparation for the launch of the system for the Winter, 2023 term.
The activity will last approximately 8 weeks and involve about 120 total hours of work and should complete about January 15, 2022.
The deliverable will be a secure, online environment in which 1) Students can securely create, edit, and submit their plan of work in an online web-based application using Python, MySQL; 2) Advisors can securely review/comment on/submit the student’s POW to academic services officers (ASO) and to communicate with the student; 3) ASOs can securely review/process/report on POWs as they are submitted; 4) Direct in-app communication option allowed between students, advisors, and ASOs; and 5) Storage of POW data in relational database can be queried and analyzed across time.

Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Significant experience with Python language and project development.
