Position Overview

The Girard School of Business at Merrimack College is seeking applicants for the position of Adjunct Lecturer in Management for an undergraduate level course titled Technology for Business for Spring 2023 and future semesters. All applicants must be available to teach in person. The Spring 2023 semester runs January 17th, 2023 until May 10th, 2023.

Position Summary

The course will get students ready for a career in business by teaching them how to properly use one of the most popular software packages in industry, Microsoft Office. Word, PowerPoint, and Excel will all be covered, and students will learn how to make documents which are not only technically advanced but professional in design and presentation.

Primary Responsibilities

● Teaching a 4-credit undergraduate course in person on campus ground.

Course: MGT1150 Technology for Business, 4 credits

Qualifications

Interested applicants should hold a master’s degree in business or related area, Ph.D. preferred. College teaching experience preferred, although related work experience may be considered. Strong verbal/written communication skills are essential. Additionally, the ability to foster an environment that values diversity, equity and inclusion is expected of all Merrimack community members.

About the Girard School of Business

The Girard School of Business takes a unique approach to business education including a strong foundation in the liberal arts and Augustinian values. Our faculty are committed to providing students with a strong foundation of business knowledge and skills in an environment having a high degree of student-faculty interaction. It has approximately 1,400 undergraduate and graduate students and offers a BSBA degree with ten concentrations, MS degrees in Management and Accounting, as well as an online MS degree in Business Analytics.
