Compensation and Benefits

Salary is competitive and negotiable depending on the strength of qualifications. This is a CSU Management Personnel Plan (MPP) position.

This position is not eligible for remote work pursuant to Fresno State's remote work guidelines and the CSU policy requiring that all work be performed within the State of California.

The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 14 paid holidays a year. Job Summary

The Head Volleyball Coach will be responsible for the administration of an NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball program to: ensure the health, well-being and academic success of the student-athletes and develop and sustain a strong, competitive NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball program.

Key Qualifications
  • Thorough knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations and a history of rules compliance
  • History of success as a coach as evidenced by sustained win/loss record
  • Thorough knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations and a history of rules compliance.
  • Coaching philosophy and teaching concepts compatible with the Athletic Department’s vision
  • Proven track record of recruitment and retention of high-quality, successful student-athletes.
  • History of success as a coach as evidenced by sustained win/loss, team success, as well as individual accomplishments by student-athletes under tutelage.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, develop, and evaluate volleyball staff and student-athletes.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an institution of higher education which is accredited by one of the six US regional accrediting associations or by an equivalent international institution of higher education.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience coaching women’s volleyball at the collegiate level or commensurate experience
