Department Summary

The Office of Admissions includes over 50 staff who are engaged in the work of recruitment and outreach to prospective undergraduates and making admission decisions on all applicants for freshman, transfer, and post-baccalaureate undergraduate admission. Admissions is a unit of the Division of Student Services & Enrollment Management and work closely with several other units of that division, especially Scholarships/Financial Aid and Orientation, as well as the Division of International Affairs.
Position Summary

The Data Entry Specialist position provides essential clerical support services within the Office of Admissions. This position receives, processes, and logs incoming data related to all recruitment programs, inquiries, applications, and evaluation processes. This position is responsible for auditing data within the CRM (Customer Relationship Management Software) and the Student Information System. This position will also assist the Incoming Mail Assistant with the scanning and indexing of incoming mail during periods of high volume.

Work Schedule
The typical seasonal work schedule for this position is November through April.
Minimum Requirements

  • Completion of courses or training in office technology; OR
  • One year general clerical experience; OR
  • Equivalent combination of training and experience.
    Professional Competencies

  • Ability to switch from one task to another with a high degree of accuracy.
    Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data entry and word-processing computer applications.
