Job Description:

Oversees computer and technology operations in Carlson Library (Main Campus) and Mulford Library (Health Science Campus). Manages classroom, conference room, service desk, and faculty and staff technology in both libraries and student technology in Mulford Library. Coordinates administrative operations of integrated library system. Works closely with University’s Information Technology Department to ensure continuity, consistency, and security of library technology operations across both campuses. Supervises support staff technician and student assistant (when available). Manages and purchases technology related equipment. Helps plan and implement library technology upgrades and projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer-related field
• 2-4 years of experience in information technology or end-user help desk support
• Experience with Windows-based systems and servers
• Familiarity with macOS environment
• Experience with a variety of hardware such as desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, scanners, projectors, and monitors
• Experience with standard software applications, such as Microsoft Office products, Adobe products, and web browsers
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity problems
• Experience working in a networked environment
• Experience with databases
• Ability to work in a team environment with a variety of user groups
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Ability to plan and carry out projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation
• Strong written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in an academic environment and/or library
• Experience with library specific systems, software, or databases
• Working knowledge of integrated library systems and the interaction of individual modules
• Supervisory experience
