Job Summary:
Under the direction of the University Director of Financial Aid and/or the Director of Financial Aid Operations, this position assists in the management and implementation of effective university financial aid programs. The Financial Aid programs must serve as an effective recruitment and retention tool, in compliance with statutory standards and responsive to a diverse student community. Student centered services is an expectation in meeting the needs of traditional, nontraditional, adult and minority student populations.
Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, plus a minimum of four years of Financial Aid Counseling experience.
2. Effective oral and written communications and interpersonal skills.
3. Knowledge of electronic financial aid delivery systems.
4. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally and nationally.
5. Ability to work in a co-operative and customer service environment.
6. Prior experience with publications and data research desirable.
7. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check.
