About the Position:
Extension and International Programs (EIP) collaborates with University departments and colleges on unique programs for students from the community and around the world. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as the Program Lead (Administrative Analyst/Specialist - Exempt I) to support Extension and International Programs. The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.

Under the general direction of the Manager of Degree and Postbaccalaureate Programs, the Program Lead (Administrative Analyst/Specialist - Exempt I) is responsible for the administration of a portfolio of self-support degree, postbaccalaureate and other academic credit programs across diverse content areas in which domestic and international matriculated and non-matriculated students enroll. Requires evaluation and analysis to include: strong fiscal planning and assessment, research, marketing, student recruitment and guidance, conducting information sessions and orientations, course/program evaluation, planning and development. Specific responsibilities may vary depending on the program type within the assigned portfolio (undergraduate degree, master's degree, postbaccalaureate, credit certificate, and other programs/classes). Critical to this position is the understanding of the importance of relationships with academic department chairs, faculty, department coordinators, advisors, Financial Aid, Admissions, Registration and Records, and others within the campus community. Interacts with both campus and community partners and may be asked to serve as a member of committees, as appropriate. Collaborates with the EIP department and Manager to ensure effective and timely communication and operations regarding all aspects of the program portfolio. Other duties as assigned.


Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university and/or the equivalent training and administrative work experience involving the study, analysis, evaluation, development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices or programs plus two years of related experience.

Working knowledge of and the ability to apply standard theories, principles, practices, and techniques applicable to the program or administrative specialty to develop conclusions and make recommendations. Thorough knowledge of policies, procedures, and outside regulations pertaining to the applicable program or administrative specialty. Working knowledge of operational and fiscal analysis and techniques. Ability to take initiative and plan, organize, coordinate, and perform work in various situations where numerous and diverse demands are involved. Skilled in research, development, and evaluation of policies and programs. Ability to collect, evaluate, and interpret data to develop sound conclusions and make appropriate recommendations. Expertise investigating and analyzing problems with broad administrative impact and implications. Ability to anticipate problems and address them proactively. Demonstrated ability to effectively interpret, organize, and present information and ideas in written or presentation form. Ability to train others on new skills and procedures and provide lead work direction.

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.


Preferred Qualifications:
Comprehensive knowledge of the CSUF infrastructure, policies, procedures and systems preferred.
