Job Description
A research registered dietitian (RD/RDN) with training and experience in diet development and metabolic kitchen management is sought to support human research studies as part of the Metabolic Core at the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute. This position will serve as coordinator for Metabolic Core services, including the metabolic kitchen and whole room calorimeters/metabolic chambers. Responsibilities include organizing and managing the metabolic kitchen, developing diets for controlled feeding studies, and performing dietary assessments for research studies. Working with Principal Investigators (PI) on research protocol. This position will also work closely with the metabolic chamber operators and engineer to perform general calibration and maintenance tasks, train students and other trainees to conduct metabolic chamber measurements, and coordinate scheduling and use of the metabolic chambers.

Master’s degree
Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential
Demonstrated experience working in a nutrition research environment
Experience or desire to train undergraduate and graduate students
