The Office of Assessment & Institutional Research (OAIR) provides data and strategic analysis to help inform key initiatives and decision-making at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM).

Job Summary
This position contributes to UWM's student success efforts by conducting and coordinating with other campus analysts on high-level, institutional research using data from internal and external sources, student surveys, and student focus groups and vetting requests to survey UWM students.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of three years of experience in data reporting, relational databases or quantitative research; or a combination of education and experience
  • Evidence of advanced experience in creating, organizing, and managing multiple Excel spreadsheets
  • Evidence of possessing basic knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics
  • Bachelor’s degree


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with business intelligence/analytics software (e.g., Power BI, OBIEE)
  • Experience organizing relevant information into interactive dashboards
  • Experience working in higher education
  • Experience leading collaborative projects
  • Master’s degree or higher
  • Experience designing and completing quantitative research projects
  • Experience presenting technical concepts and data-related insights to lay audiences
  • Experience organizing relevant information into accessible reports
  • Experience validating the accuracy of data
