Quantitative Research, Evaluation, and Measurement (QREM): Search for Clinical Assistant Professor
Position: Clinical Assistant Professor in QREM, 9-month, the Department of Educational Studies. This is a 5-year contract position with the potential for renewal and clinical promotion.
Qualifications: The position requires the candidate to demonstrate teaching excellence in the field of Quantitative Research, Evaluation, and Measurement (QREM) as evidenced by a record of excellent teaching in a variety of undergraduate and graduate quantitative methods courses in the field of education. Evidence of experience advising and mentoring master’s and doctoral students will be viewed as strengths. We also seek a candidate who has experience that includes social justice, equity and demonstrated ability to teach and work with persons from minoritized backgrounds.
The candidate must meet the following required qualifications:
- An earned doctorate in quantitative methods, educational research, or a related field; A record of teaching excellence consistent with an appointment at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be a scholar who engages in high quality teaching of quantitative methods courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Responsibilities include teaching graduate and/or undergraduate courses; engaging in curriculum development; providing support for program growth; and providing service to the Department, College, University, and academic communities. Candidates will have the opportunity to advise master’s students and serve on Ph.D. student committees as their responsibilities allow.
