Anderson University is an innovative, entrepreneurial, premier comprehensive, liberal arts university affiliated with the South Carolina Baptist Convention. The University seeks candidates with a strong Christian value system, lifestyle, and commitment to the integration of faith and learning.

Anderson University is a “more selective” comprehensive Christian university offering bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees on campus and online. Anderson University is among US News and World Report’s “Best Regional Universities South,” and is on the publication’s “Most Innovative,” “Best Value,” “Best Undergraduate Teaching,” “Best Social Mobility” and “Best Online Programs” lists. Anderson also is ranked #27 nationally for Student Engagement by the Wall Street Journal; is a “Best College” among institutions of higher learning in the southeast by The Princeton Review; and is a three-time Apple Distinguished School. Our faculty include academic leaders who seek excellence in teaching pedagogy, research and publication within our academic programs, schools and colleges, including the Center for Cybersecurity.  More information about the Center for Cybersecurity is available at https://andersonuniversity.edu/Cyber.

The Center for Cybersecurity offers traditional, on-campus undergraduate degree programs in Cybersecurity and interdisciplinary majors including Cybersecurity & Criminal Justice, Cybersecurity & Analytics, and Cybersecurity & Mathematics. Beginning in August 2023, we are offering a Master of Science in Cybersecurity as an online degree.

The ideal candidate will hold a doctorate in cybersecurity, information systems, computer science, or related information technology discipline. However, candidates with significant industry experience, professional certifications, and an M.S. in cybersecurity or related discipline are encouraged to apply. This opening is governed by the Professional Path guidelines of the university. Professional Path faculty focus on teaching and learning, and are evaluated on mission fit, teaching and learning, and service. After six years of exemplary performance, faculty on the Professional Path become eligible to apply for multi-year contracts.

Whereas we welcome applicants from all disciplines in these fields, preference will be given to candidates with backgrounds and teaching experience in cybersecurity fundamentals, network security, programming, Linux, penetration testing, threat intelligence, cloud security, cyber analytics, cyber risk management, cyber operations, contingency planning, and security architecture. Candidates should have a record of successful teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level. Industry experience in the candidate’s field of expertise is preferred. Professional certifications (e.g. CISSP, CEH, CISM) are a plus.

Candidates must successfully complete a background check. Applicants should submit the listed application materials to the following email address: cybersecurityjobs@andersonuniversity.edu

·         If the candidate has professional certifications, please include a verification link and/or certification number.
