Position Purpose
The Program Coordinator, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the division of Campus Services works in partnership with the Director of Culture and Employee Belonging to help fulfill Campus Services’ commitment to building a supportive and inclusive community where diverse students, faculty, and staff are supported in their professional, social, and intellectual goals and pursuits.

Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Three years’ experience in a professional setting working on DEI -related initiatives for a broad constituency
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and take initiative
- Ability to handle sensitive issues in a discreet and respectful manner
- Experience working in collaborative learning groups
- Experience in project management
- A commitment to diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness through actions, interactions, and communications with others
- Work experience in higher education preferred

Key Accountabilities
Description
Project Management and Administration
- Assists the Director of Culture and Employee Belonging and the DEI Council through meeting scheduling, agenda setting, meeting participation, note taking, and meeting follow up.
- Supports the strategic planning process for Campus Services’ DEI office. Serves as project manager during the initial planning and review phases, and works with the Director of Culture to identify, develop, and implement new initiatives from the strategic plan.
- Tracks the progress of DEI programs and projects and serves as a primary point of contact on designated projects and activities.
- Collects data and prepares reports for DEI -related items.
- Prepares and finalizes the annual report, reviewing strengths and opportunities to guide further action.
- Tracks and manages program expenses to ensure adherence to Campus Services DEI budget. Partners with the Chief Operating Officer – Campus services and Director of Culture in spending decisions.

Description
Communication, Event Planning, and Promotion
- Works in collaboration with the Director of Communication on the DEI webpage and DEI newsletter by identifying, writing, and refining stories.
- Assists with the development and organization of DEI -related events.
- Works with others to develop, implement, and update a Campus Services DEI tracking system. Partners with appropriate offices to ensure information is up to date, well-communicated, and monitored for any action items.
- Partners with the Director of Culture and Employee Belonging to manage and schedule various trainings, both internal and external, personal and professional development, and other programs and events for the Campus Services community.
- Supports the Campus Services DEI Council through meeting scheduling, preparation of materials, and tracking action items.

Description
Community Building and Staff Support
- Participates in Campus Services Culture and Community Engagement Events. Communicates regularly with staff, including meeting with individual staff or groups to listen to feedback and solicit feedback on programs and events.
- In partnership with Director of Culture and Employee belonging, supports a variety of events for first, second and third shifts to be available to support onboarding and training for a diverse population.
- Assists in the development and implementation of a framework for creating community amongst staff at all levels of Campus Services.
- Partners with staff and administrators to build mentoring efforts (activities could include helping with matching process, event planning with an emphasis on relationship building and training, review of onboarding, etc.).
- Acts as a voice of the staff to the Campus Services Administration; helps to bridge the gap between Campus Services staff and Campus Services administration.
- Consults on strategies and tactics to improve staff communications.
- Partners with offices across Campus Services to implement services/resources/etc. as identified within DEI strategic planning and the DEI Council at Campus Services.
