The program in American Studies is seeking adjuncts to teach Introduction to American Studies (with approximately 30 students), and other courses in the American Studies program as necessary. This course introduces students to the interdisciplinary practice of American Studies in an engaging way, with special emphasis on the application of American cultural studies to a variety of future careers. Other courses include Interdisciplinary Research and Writing, American Studies in the Classroom, and Senior Seminar. A successful candidate must have an appropriate graduate degree and experience teaching in American Studies or a related field.

Prospective adjunct faculty should send a copy of their curriculum vitae, sample syllabi or course outlines, graduate school transcripts (or an unofficial transcript with a list of courses completed in graduate school), one letter of recommendation, a list of at least two additional references, and any other supporting materials the candidates believe might be helpful.
