Job Details
A Post-Doctoral research position is available in the lab of Dr. Christopher B. Rodell at Drexel University’s School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems. The projects to be advanced will relate to therapeutic manipulation of inflammation to guide the cell-, tissue-, and systems-level response to injury. This is accomplished by the design of polymeric biomaterials that can be delivered to the injury or disease site. An ideal candidate should have received a Ph.D. in bioengineering, materials science, immunology or a related discipline and have experience in the area of biomaterials and drug delivery. Prior postdoctoral research, grant writing, and project management experience are desired. The Rodell lab strives to build a diverse and interdisciplinary research team – applicants from diverse backgrounds and disparate disciplines that may provide a unique perspective to immune engineering research are encouraged to apply. Essential Functions
- Conduct research, analyze and disseminate data
- Project management and planning, including funding proposal development
- Participate in and support multiple team projects, including through personnel management
- Aide in purchasing and lab administration
- PhD or Doctorate, Biomedical Engineering or related field
- A minimum of 1 year professional experience
Grant writing and project management experience, desired
