Job Summary

Auburn University Student Affairs is searching for a Producer/Director I/II/ III /IV to join its Communications and Marketing team. The Producer/Director will use creative storytelling to help showcase the Auburn student experience through engaging, dynamic video content for web and social media. Additionally, the Producer will work closely with colleagues from across the Division of Student Affairs to help departments reach their communications goals. The successful candidate must be willing to work some nights and weekends as needed to support student events.

Essential Functions
  • Collaborate with the Communications and Marketing team and division colleagues to imagine and create video content that elevates the Student Affairs brand.
  • Meet with Student Affairs clients, serving as a consultant in determining the best creative approach to meet their project goals and as a guide in helping them understand the production process and timeline.
  • Support Student Affairs colleagues with live streaming video for events and social media marketing as needed.
  • Mentor and provide direction to student videographers as needed, contributing to their professional growth and ensuring the quality of their work.
Minimum Education and Experience

Education Level

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

Field of Study

Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field

Requirements for Additional Job Levels

Level II requires a Bachelor’s degree in the disciplines listed above plus 2 years experience managing media projects to include producing, directing, and scheduling .

Level III requires a Bachelor’s degree in the disciplines listed above plus 4 years experience managing media projects to include producing, directing, and scheduling .

Level IV requires a Bachelor’s degree in the disciplines listed above plus 6 years experience managing media projects to include producing, directing, and scheduling .
