Position Summary:

Facilities Management & Planning is responsible for the care and maintenance of 5 million square feet of academic, administrative & athletic facilities, on a 388 acre urban campus. The Property Manager is responsible for the coordination of building services/operations related to residential facilities, including, but not limited to, cleaning, painting, remodeling, maintenance, furnishings, and assuring student residences are ready for move in and assessed after move out. Monitor general upkeep in all student rooms, apartments, houses and suites including common spaces both interior and exterior.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required
Three years recent work experience in property management field or related field.
Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of performance.
Organizational skills and attention to details.
Must have valid drivers license with a low risk driving record.
Experience working with socially and culturally diverse constituents.
Quality assurance and customer service skills.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to respond to phone calls after hours.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Bachelor's degree in construction/property management or related field.
Demonstrated experience in construction/maintenance trades.
Previous experience in a university environment.
Experience in property evaluations/inspections.
Effective interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical skills.

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide. With this development, the University will pause any enforcement action against employees who have not complied with the requirement to be fully vaccinated by Dec. 8, 2021 or to have requested an exemption to maintain their employment status.
