The Board of Trustees of Arkansas Northeastern College invites applications and nominations for the position of President. The President is the chief executive officer of the College and reports to a nine member Board of Trustees appointed by the Governor.
Arkansas Northeastern College, a public, comprehensive community
college with a main campus in Blytheville, Arkansas and centers
located in Osceola and Leachville, has a fall enrollment of 1502
students and an annual F.T.E. of 776 as well as robust Secondary
Technical Center and Community Education Program. It has an annual
operating budget in excess of $15,000,000 (unrestricted funds) and
$10,000,000 annually in restricted funds. The College also enjoys
the generous support of its private Foundation. More information

The Arkansas Northeastern College Board of Trustees is seeking a
confident person who will provide strong leadership and advocacy on
behalf of the College, continue to increase student-centered
academic opportunities, maintain the College’s reputation as a
leader nationally in workforce training and education, continue the
College’s commitment to providing opportunities to underserved
communities, and create an environment of teamwork and
collaboration. The ideal candidate must be able to work effectively
with administrators, faculty, staff, students, local community
members, business and industry, state and local government
agencies, and other educational institutions. The ideal candidate
will also possess the following qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Earned doctorate from an accredited institution
- Five (5) years of leadership in senior level administration at an accredited institution of higher education or equivalent experience in business, government, or non-profit organization
Preferred Qualifications
In its search, the College will assess the candidate’s leadership
and ability to:
- Demonstrate proficiency in oral and written communications and interpersonal skills
- Develop and articulate a vision for the future of the College
- Maintain a system of long- and short-range planning that provides for future educational programs, financial resources, facilities, and student services
- Demonstrate a record of successful program development and evaluation
- Demonstrate a record of successful administration of finances, budget, facilities, and personnel
- Develop successful alliances with various organizations, including strengthening partnerships with public schools, community groups, governmental agencies, and local business and industry
- Demonstrate participation on behalf of economic development and business/industry recruitment efforts, and value the importance of industry training and workforce development to the community.
- Participate visibly in public relations, resource development, and fundraising for the College
- Demonstrate strong leadership in service to the local community

The new President will assume office on July 2, 2023, or a date mutually agreed upon with the Board of Trustees.
