The College of Health Sciences is seeking applications for an Experiential Education Support Coordinator. The Experiential Education Support Coordinator assists the College of Health Sciences programs in Athletic Training, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy with clinical and fieldwork site coordination functions. These functions include managing placement records, databases, and contracts with our Experiential Education partners.

This position will require facilitating data management and communication across students, faculty, and community partners, including legal offices at UIndy, and will serve as the primary liaison to clinical and Experiential Education partners in healthcare and community settings.

This individual will be responsible for creating reports related to program accreditation and monitoring student compliance with contractual health and other requirements. Additionally, this person will coordinate experiential opportunities that occur internal to the curriculum, through the provision of administrative oversight of our Community Patient Program – a network of volunteers who serve as volunteer ‘patients’ for students across the Krannert School of Physical Therapy, School of Occupational Therapy, and Athletic Training.

Responsibilities
  • Manage Experiential Education program logistics with assigned program coordinators
  • Respond to and initiate communications with faculty, students and clinical / community partners, community ‘patient’ volunteers in writing, mail, and telephone
  • Initiate and manage contractual agreements with 500+ health and community-based sites
  • Plan and coordinate events, projects, and community patient visits
  • Maintain student confidentiality consistent with FERPA
  • Create and manage department records and reports, including those necessary for program evaluation and accreditation
  • Attend meetings and take minutes
  • Assist visitors and respond to inquiries via telephone and email with individuals outside and inside the university
  • Work an occasional weekend or evening
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree required; master’s degree preferred
  • Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, Google-based programs, and database programs
  • Experience with learning to use new systems and adapting to technology needs
  • Experience in a health-related, education, or human services field
